Ballard Aviation is located in Newton and Winfield, Kansas and is owned and operated by Shane and Shannon Rives. The Rives purchased Ballard Aviation in 2018 from Jim and Iva Ballard after working for the Ballard’s for over 10 years.
The recipients of the Kansas Governor’s Aviation Honor Award, Jim and Iva have been integral to the growth of the aviation services throughout Kansas and the Midwest. Mr. Ballard has over 18,000 hours of flight time and is also an A&P mechanic. Mrs. Ballard also holds a pilot’s license.
Providing aviation related services for over 35 years, they have demonstrated an ability to provide the best services possible and are eight-time recipients of the “Best in Business” award presented by the Wichita Business Journal. This award is presented based upon business contributions to areas served, financial rating, growth, and innovative marketing strategies.
